The Interactive Wooden Mirror

Updated: Jan 24, 2020

This project was made by using 835 wooden tiles to display an image of the objects placed in front of the art. The art piece has a camera at eye level recording the images in front of the work which is then sent to a computer that evaluates the image in black and white values. Each black and white value corresponds to an angle on each of the wooden tiles. Each tile is motorized to move up and down by the computer and create a humming sound. The spotlights on the ceiling help create contrast on the display and the image that you then see in the art. This art project was made by one person which is Daniel Rozin. This art project took him a year to make because of the repetition that comes with creating and programing every single wooden tile.
